Hurricane Valley Symphony is focused on providing performance opportunities for students and adults. There are no auditions to join. However, members need to meet the following requirements and expectations.

Eligibility for Hurricane Valley Symphony

• At least 2 years of playing experience.
• Expected to commit to weekly rehearsal schedule and concerts for a full concert season.
• School aged students are expected to be a part of a school ensemble or be studying private lessons.

Expectations

• Be on time to rehearsals and performances.
• Take care of and return music in good shape.
• Come prepared to rehearsals with music, pencil, reeds, rosin, etc.
• Do your best to learn the music before rehearsals start. If you’re having trouble learning the music please ask for help. Symphony directors are all here to help.

Rehearsal Information

Rehearsals are held in the Hurricane High School band room on Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Membership Dues

• Students: $10 per semester or $20 per season

• Adults: $20 per semester or $40 per season
