Nick Jeppson

Instrument: Cello

Nick started playing the piano at the age of eight, but quit after two years. When he was in the sixth grade his friend convinced him to join the school orchestra playing the violin. Nick’s mother talked him into playing the cello instead. He played all through elementary, junior high, and high school in school orchestras as well as summer camp symphonies and private lessons/recitals. He stopped playing regularly after graduating high school and didn’t pick the cello up again until joining Hurricane Valley Symphony in the fall of 2022.

Nick grew up in West Bountiful, Utah. He has a passion for computers and was always known as the computer nerd. He had health problems in high school and spent a lot of time in emergency rooms and hospital beds. He now works as a Senior Systems Engineer for Adobe Systems, where he enjoys working out of his home office.

Nick loves cycling, and that fact led him to being introduced to his wife Dolores. She now volunteers on the Hurricane Valley Symphony board of directors. Nick and Dolores live in Hurricane, Utah, where they are very busy chasing after their two toddler boys.
