Instrument: Flute

Cari Bennion has been been playing the flute since she was 9 years old. She played all through high school and college, but not much after, except on occasion to accompany church choirs. She desperately missed playing with a group and says she can remember exactly where she was when a friend called to tell her that the Hurricane Valley Symphony was starting. Cari has been playing with the Symphony since its founding in 2018. Coming to symphony rehearsal is the highlight of her week.

Cari’s husband, Nathan Bennion, plays the saxophone and clarinet with the Symphony. Over the years she has been able to play in the Symphony with three of her siblings (Kristi, Cameron, and Corban Beutler), but they have since moved away.

Cari has taught 1st grade at Hurricane Elementary for over 10 years. She loves crafting, reading, and baking treats to share.
